Just got my C25GS from Safe & Knife;

I noticed the blade was numbered,

"466" to be precise. Is this the

limited "500" I hear about in this

forum ? How about it Sal ?

Sorry if I sound too picky, but one of the seemingly minor aspects of Spydercos that I like the most, is that tho they have model #s, they each have a name. Likewise, one of the seemingly minor aspects of Benchmades, is that tho the models have names, most people refer only to their #s.

As one of the memory-challenged folk about -- who knows, maybe the only one -- I'd sure appreciate using model names, rather than #s. Don't want to have to dash off to some dealer site -- Spyderco's store only uses model names -- to look up the model # so I can figure out what knife somebody is talking about.

To be more specific, it's a Frank
Centofante C25GS ; no catchname, just a
unique liner locking mechanism with a
switch that locks the liner into place
more securely.

Sincerely,

Hi Allen. I think it's a keeper. Frank Centofante designed the knife and the locking mechanism. It didn't sell well, perhaps too sophisticated? The one you have is out of less than 2000.

Stare, I find names easier to remember than numbers.

I have a C25 plain edge which i had to clean out (I think)an overflow of thread locking fluid.It stopped the sliding lock from moving.Works fine now.
