this is one for the books :D
i few days ago i was at a kickboxing workout & seriously pulled my neck, didn't really notice it, the next day i went swimming, the day after that basket ball... the result, a ruptured nerve in my neck :eek:
hurts like hell & my right shoulder "fell" down half paralized (the nerve cut is responsible for triggering the shoulder muscle to automatically hold it up parallel to the ground)...
luckily for me, the doctor said that this is a quick healing nerve & i should be fine in a week or so (with treatment).. i'm also lucky not to have torn a muscle or dislocated my neck!

I managed to do something a bit painful on friday. I had taken some Spydies out of their cabinets to take some photos, no problem. When it came to putting them back, oh dear! I was holding three Civilians in my left hand and one in my right and was reaching up to put it back into the cabinet. As I was placing the knife on its stand the glass shelf tipped and began to slip out! I quickly reached up with my left hand to stop it falling, completely forgetting that I was holding the other three knives.

I was holding the blade edge towards me, there was a very slight drag on my shirt, a very intense pain in my nipple and fair stream of blood down my belly! :eek: After a few choice expletives and a closer inspection I found that I’d neatly sliced my nipple in half! It wasn’t a toe stubbing jumping around swearing job, just a stunned “my goodness that could have been a lot worse” type of thing! Out came the super glue, I soon got it sorted, but it will be a reminder to me not to get to complacent when handling these little beauties in the future.
