Hey all,
I have an extra CD-RW (CD Burner). I'll give it away free to a good home. It's a Yamaha 20X. I just threw a DVD-RW in my box and I don't have anyone that needs an extra burner.
Anyone?
Thanks,
Fisher of Men
What a nice offer!
Mine has quit working so I asked the computer guys at work what might be the problem! They told me how to fix what I got I just haven't tried to fix it yet.
Sometimes it works but takes a while before it kicks in and than other times it will not do anything!
One thing I need is a better program which allows me to burn things faster as my program is real slow!
Thanks for the offer but I'll just try to fix what I got..

I can use it in my spare computer. I just use the old thing as a jukebox now.

I have no idea ;)
It would be coming from 44130 area code as I would ship it from where I work.

I always liked the phrase...
"Pay it forward"
I think that's just how it should be. ;)

Anyone let me know if they would like me to ship it to them. It will be the CD Burner only with no cables. If you need an IDE cable I could come up with one :).

Good morning, my friend.
"Pay It Forward" I first encountered as a member of the alt.smokers.pipes newsgroup. They have to date given away over 3600 pipes (plus necessities like tobacco, pipe cleaners, etc.), all donated by members of the newsgroup and provided at no cost to the recipients.

Glad you're back, FoM.

Ta,

Hannibal, good to see another pipe smoker!
from the web site you listed: "We are now over 3600 pipes sent, to 36 countries and every continent, except Antarctica."
Having been to Antarctica three times, I can tell you there are folks there in need of smoking pipes! Only saw a couple Meerchams for sale in the ship's store at McMurdo Station.
I've whittled down my collection to around 60, mostly estate.

Good day!
Where I reside, there are scant few pipe smokers. Only one other one at the shop where I work, and he smokes only Lane 1Q in a Grabow. No Virginias, no English blends. Most of the local pipe smokers are very much the same - Lane tobaccos (Captain Black - same stuff) in Grabow pipes. You can imagine the looks I get for smoking Esoterica Penzance in a Dunhill. :p
Are you familiar with G. L. Pease tobaccos? If you are not, you probably should be. PM me for more info. I have a bunch of sample blends I can send you gratis.
Also, if you are not a member of the alt.smokers.pipes newsgroup, you might want to consider it; some of the best folks on Earth post there. Bear Graves, the one who runs the PIF program, is a close personal friend.

So does nobody need a CD-Burner?
I'm still offering it up to someone that needs one. If you already have one, I'd rather give it to someone that doesn't have one at all.
Anyone? :)
Hannibal L.,
I'll send you a PM. And a big yes to trying GL Pease (since this Christmas). Good many reviews on www.tobaccoreviews.com
Hope you have some Bohemian Scandal !! It's impossible to find now.

I would rather let someone else have the CD burner that needs it. My old 2X works ok. Why don't you install it as a slave to your DVD?
