Is there any kind of guarantee on Sypderco knives?

Joe Bob: As far as I know, the warranty policy is quite broad. I never had to use it, but I have only heard good things about it. The # given in the company literature is: 1-800-525-7770. Give them a call.

Joe Bob,

If you follow the link to "home" and then go to "Edge-U-Cation" you will find find a copy of Spyderco's warranty. As Dick said it is entirely fair and reasonable.

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow, in Australia it's tomorrow already.

At first I had nothing but praise for this company until I had to actually use their warranty service. I have an endura that unfortunately has worn to the point where the blade will move in both axis when in the locked position. This resulted in a minor injury and so I was forced to send my knife in for repair. However, to my dismay the customer service rep, Michael Hayes, aggressively stated that there was nothing wrong with the knife and in no way was it dangerous. Seems like a no brainer to me; a knife with a loose blade is very dangerous. This says something about the company if they are not willing to take care of a clearly defined safety issue. It would be a lot easier to replace it than argue about it and risk further injury to a loyal customer. However, apparently they don't believe in the safety of their customers.
