I've heard lots about this little credit card sized knife but is it as good as it sounds?
Hi Joe Bob. Welcome to the Spyderco forum. Guess I'm a little late (25may). sorry.
As good as it sounds? is a tough question. It's unique. It's well made. It's sharp.
Most seem to appreciate the design and construction.

It rides in the wallet quite well, just waiting for an opportunity to prove itself.
I've only used mine a couple of times, and I really like it.
It fits in with the rest of my Spyderco's.

Ive seen alot of pll putting the card down because of "weight", even tho this was said I purchased mine and cant be any happier with it, its got a very "square blade", by that I mean its very wide for its length which makes it very strong, its extremely sharp and locks in place nice n tight.
It fits very well in a wallet and fits in the hand very well.
Take my word, get one!!!!!
Happy hunting

Joe Bob-
I bought one to carry in my wallet through airport checkpoints. It made the wallet a little heavy, but it beats walking around naked. All in all, a handy item.

This is one case where expectations really make or break the knife. You have to keep in mind, this is a credit card knife, where the primary design criterion is the form factor (otherwise, it's not a "credit card" knife!), and everything else had to be accomlished from there. If you even remotely expect this knife to be as ergonomic and secure as your endura, or as easy to open as your endura, then you'd be better of buying an endura.
But if what you want is a knife that is shaped like a credit card and convenient for wallet carry, and besides that, is manufactured to high standards, and is out-freaking-rageously sharp, you will be very pleased.
This was my primary knife for over a week on my vacation last year. No, it's not nearly as secure and ergonomic as an endura. But man was it convenient to carry. Even in the front pocket of a loose-fitting bathing suit, it's comfy and easy to forget it's there. I did poke myself with the tip a couple times, a by-product of the ergonomics.

my brother who is a texan like your self joe bob and would just assume carry the buck genral (7 1/2" fixed blade) to a black tie afair. absoult loves his spydercard it seems like it is never in his wallet he is allways cutting something or showing it to some one. the frist thing he cut with it was some 7/8" rope for a "test" and it went thought it with no trouble at all. he was even sad to hear the designer had pasted on he would like to see other items like this. i got him a plain edge but as a "i'm stranded with only my wallet" knife maybe the 50/50 is better? even though the blade is under 3"
