I'm speechless. This knife is just beautiful - I'm totally amazed with it.

Solid, fits my hand perfectly, perfect blade size and weight - like it was made just for me. Looks badass too.

It's way easier to do the inertia opening with this one too. I love it. My new favorite knife.

I'm thinking of buying either a Manix, or a Native next.

if you buy the Manix after the Para, you won't use another spyderco for the rest of your life... don't do it! ;)

VC,
Great choice. I'd wear a PM to work if it wasn't as big. I just acquired a manix today. If you want BIG go for it.

Congrats on the Para, glad you like it. I personally love mine.

By far the Manix is my favorite Spydie.

Senate said it the best.

I also just got my Para Military recently. I've got a little bit of criticism of it but I'll leave that for the end of this post. The Para is a great knife. I love the S30V steel and the G-10 handle. It works great and cuts everything. And it hasn't started to dull the edge yet at all. I completely cleared a branch off of a tree with it's hefty blade. Chopped it off like a hatchet in only a few minutes. Man is this knife great. Ok, now for the critcism. I can't EDC my Para because the handle is too big for the blade. I don't want the blade to be any bigger cuz it's perfect as is. I just want the handle to be streamlined and trimmed down to something more in the range of 4.25-4.5. Preferrably closer to the 4.25 but that may not be possible. I just can't seem to get comfortable with a knife with such a large handle in my pocket all the time. Otherwise it's the perfect knife.

What do you say Sal? Can you guys find a way to trim down the Para-Military handle or is it just wishful thinking.

I looked at the Lil Temp for a while, and considered buying it. I liked the handle on the Para more - I wanted something with more meat to it. Contrary to the previous poster - I think the handle is perfect, but that's most likely because I have gorilla hands - and also because I think the butt of the handle might come in "handy". ;)

The Manix looks like a monster though - I wonder how heavy it feels hanging in the pocket.

You're right though - this Para is perfect. I'm thinking of having it engraved with my initials or something.

I have a plain Military and it fits in my pocket fine. Never bothers me. The handle does seem like a lot for the blade. There's a good inch of steel still inside the handle when it's open.

There - I stuck in some pics w/ the engraving I got done today - sorry about the quality of the pics, I'm no photographer.
