Aloha ALL!

This afternoon, I had to go to the surplus store to get a pistol case for my "new baby"...while searching for the case, I stopped to look at the knives of course!

:spyder: Persian: I FINALLY got to handle one! It always looked on the heavy side on paper, but man does this knife fit like a glove AND it was not that heavy at all!!! NOW I know why it is so highly regarded here! (Ah, but then again, what :spyder: isn't? :D ) I was envisioning MANY things in the reverse grip with this one...*sigh*...AWESOME job :spyder: and Mr. SCHEMPP!!!

:spyder: /Kershaw/Onion Spyker: A knife I never thought I would handle here on The Big Island! Honestly, on paper, the handle looks a lil' "funky", yet, this one too, fit my hand well, and that silver tweed stands out from the everyday G10 affair!!! Snickered to myself when I saw the "other holes". This one is deceptively light and felt good in ALL grips! Everyone involved in this one did a GREAT job, and I hope one day for it to come out in H1 and FRN!!!

NOT A :spyder: ...but a Cold Steel. I couldn't believe this one...it was a 6" bladed "whatchamacallit"!!! (I forgot the name of this one...sorta looks like a switchblade, has a leaf lock, zytel scales over SS liners...) DAMN, lemme tell you, this thing was HUGE!!! Good heft to it, and when held on the end of the handle when opened, you could definitely reach out and "touch" someone! It looked like a "normal" pocket knife when the shop owner's son placed it in his cargo shorts!!! Potential is great with this one closed also regarding SD, BUT...the looks and length of this one, man...I think even a knife educated cop would take this one away!

Did I get a knife today? LOL, nope! WHY? Well, I recently got an Almite Walker (mahalo Deacon) and I cannot decide whether to use the FRN version or this "new" one...Then again, my Caly' Jr. beater can do what this Almite, or even my FRN Walker can do so i may just place it into my "GawkBox". :o So no "new knives" until I settle this Walker issue! :p

Anyway, God bless, and fortunate are all of you who own the Persian and/or Spyker!!! :)

Daywalker!

Place it in the gawk box?!!! Brother, that is tantamount to blasphemy!! Get it slipped in ya pocket. Or another way to answer that Walker question, shove in an envelope to me and I'll send you a "clunker"! :p

Did you get a pistol slip?

God bless,

Simon.

Sounds like you were holding a CS Ti-Lite with Zytel handles. Looks like a SB but opens with a thumb-stud, no buttons nor springs. I would not want anyone reaching out and touching me with it! I do a great job of cutting myself with mine and it is sharp from the factory. :D

Chad, that Persian is cool huh?

As soon as I pick up a job, a Manix is #1 on my list. No one wants the old guy so it might be a while, but I'll own one one day! A noble goal, ya think. I dodn't want to win lotto, I just want a Manix.

I'm gonna plant the seeds...repeat

BUY A PERSIAN
BUT A PERSIAN
BUY A PERSIAN

Hey "brah"!
The "other Place" is/was located by The GYM...hard shop to find, but they had some neat "stuff" there, both production as well as commercial. How's Young Guns? They got knives there too or what?

God bless and be safe in PC!!! You know that "canal" by Pearl Ridge Shopping Center? Ho man...I got into a "few" there, and right outside Funz...
