Numbered spyderco's

I have recently picked up a few spyderco's that are numbered. From what i understand they # the first 1000 of each knife, do these have potential of being worth more than ones that have no numbers.

Generally speaking, numbered knives have more value (if collected) than non numbered knives. The lower the number, the better.
