Hi FTK. We had to make a distinction in the word, &quot;customer&quot;. Distributors, dealers and End Line Users are all &quot;customers&quot;, but each has a different role and interest in the business chain. We coined the word ELU &quot;in house&quot; to make the distinction.

The word ELU ended up in a big argument on Bladeforums about 2 years ago. That is the argument that got me into forums in the first place. Many thought it was a &quot;negative&quot; term, rather than a separation of customer. I had to do lots of splainin'. Been on the forums ever since.

Boy do I remember that!!! And YOU Sal, are the one who brought me back! :-) Since then, I have bought probably 11 or 12 more Spyderco knives... and I love each and every one of the dear little rascals! The good thing about the whole time, is, it got you here, and stay you have!! Thanks Sincerely

sal althought i'm sure that i discounis on blade forums was annoying i'm glad that you created this forum i've learned a tremdus amount about steels, handles, locks, geometry, engineering, design aestectis and of course people. once you explained the term i don't think its deroggotory i am an ELU: &quot;the knive(s) stop here&quot; and i have o say they are nice knives.
