Aloha and welocome Thomaz!
I had a chance to handle one back in March. From what I felt and saw done with this knife, it makes for a great SD folder. Also, you could get away with using it for utility use...
I do not have one :( , but I am sure that the forum members who do own one will show up here soon. Hang in there...
God bless

The Gunting is a very specialized tool. More than just a knife, it is a multi-use defensive weapon, designed to be extremely effective through a range of "force", from non-lethal "persuasion", to deadly. In trained hands it can be extremely effective. For any use other than as a weapon, it is a poor choice. For someone who does not wish to learn the techniques for using it as a non-lethal weapon, there are probably better choices as well. If you do want it for its intended purpose, the videos demostrating its use would be a wise investment.
It has been discontinued, and no longer appears in the online catalog. You would have to find a dealer who has it in stock.

Quality knife, but I don't like its design. It basically requires a sheath to carry. There were a lot of stories about unintentional opening in the pocket. The ramp was designed to open the knife when it makes contact with your adversary. That same principle applies to your pocket.
In order to fully appreciate the design, you really should order videos or take seminars. Other MBC designs feed of your skills, not the other way around. Don't get fooled into believing that it is OK to draw this knife with the intention of using it closed, on a guy that is not proportionally armed. Your legal system will very likely consider it lethal force, which doesn't make you any happier after the fact.
Overall, to me the design is way too cumbersome. I'd rather carry two Delicas and practice with two delica trainers.

The tool is less important than the skill. Train and any knife's a fighter.

I have a gunting and I intended to EDC it but it turned out not to be that practical. First half of the knife sticks out of you pocket I found that uncomfortable when seated(I have a little bit of a belly). Second, it happened to me twice that I pulled the knife half opened out of my pocket an almost pinched myself.I think it may be a great knive for selfdefense(I don't particularly buy knives for that purpose) if you know how to do that but not a knife for everyday use. I'm not sorry I bought the knife but the only thing it does is look nice in my displaycupboard(I don't know the right word for this) I bought the knife merely for it's strange shape.

Hi Thomas and welcome aboard. The Gunting is a good knife, no doubt about it. It is comfortable in the hand, strong (one of the strongest folders in the market), and especially designed for MBC and SD.
Should you like it or not, that's another story. Better take a visit to Bram Frank's website (http://www.cssdsc.com) and you'll find there all the infos you need about the Gunting.
