Hi Samo. We'll be showing;

ATR prototype. No production pieces ready yet.

The Lum "Tanto" Fixed Blade (Lumto?) proto.

Darndo is temporarily out. Cost was very high for success. We're still working on it.

Fred Perrin Bowie proto wil be there.

MeerKat protos will be there.

Temperance production protos.

Salsa protos, but without the color.

Patogordo,

The 2001 Blade Show & International Cutlery Fair, sponsored by Blade magazine, will be held June 8-10, 2001, at the Cobb Galleria Centre and Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. It is regarded as the most important cutlery event of the year. They have a website at http://www.krause.com/shows/bladeshow/
I have never been but I hope to make it some year.

Colinz,

I also have the knifecenter link but most of those photographs were taken without permission.

Sal tends to only allow photos on knives that are within 6 months of production.

About half of those knives are concept models and may not get built at all( except for the UUK, please Sal).

You might not want to post that URL on the forums, it is my understanding that it creates problems for Spyderco.

UUK? Hmmmm... I think that's an awesome piece. I'd go for the Lum Tanto (fixed blade) and Perrin Bowie Its simply AWESOME!!!

Glenn (and Sal),

Sorry about that. I didn´t know someone took the pictures without permission.

I´ll edit the URL if you could give me the reason for "it creates problems for Spyderco", please. Mail me if you don´t want to tell why on a public forum.

Colinz,

Think about your question. The answer is not a big stretch of the imagination.

The designs are original, proprietary to Spyderco, and were displayed at a knife convention for the benefit of feedback. Permission was not given to photograph them.

They have a lot of time and money invested in those prototypes. I do not mean to sound harsh, you didn't take these pictures and I am sure you meant no harm. I also don't speak for Spyderco, this is mearly my opinion.

Take care,

stu

Glenn,

You made me understand the whole (or at least enough of that) issue, thank you.

If someone want to know why I edited the URL in my previous post you are welcome to post that question to me. I´ll try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

Be well,
/Colinz

(I usually only edit grammar and spelling, this is the firs time I edit any "fact", if you got any questions about this issue then please mail me and I´ll do my best to answer any questions)

I think the ATR is worth checking out! That is the most advanced prototype for a folder I've ever came across.
