Does anyone here own a Ronco Showtime rotisserie? I have a black one and it works great for most everything. I was wondering what foods can be cooked in it other than hotdogs, chicken breasts and legs, hamburgers, and pork chops? I have the basket that I use mostly for the above food. I haven't tried fish yet tho. :)

Hey fret, yes I have the little one. My sister and bro in law gave it to me for Christmas. I don't have a basket so I stick to roasts. I've done roast beef, eye roasts, rib roasts, etc and I do pork roasts also. Last time out went with a leg of lamb. The butcher needed to cut it in half for me so it would fit in. I've found with mine, you have to stay exactly with the suggested times in the manual, no freelancing. I like everything very well done, no juice, gray meat (no pink) and the times given work perfect.

Don't eat fish so I can't help you there.

I laughed at this thing when I first got it but it cooks perfect and quicker than the oven.

Sounds good ,gc. My Showtime is the smaller one. I have the basket which I like to use a lot. It is good for cooking smaller meals. I put a ham (medium to small size) on the spit rods and cooked it to perfection. No raw or pink or bloody meat. I like my food well done too. I don't have the "cookbook" so I just guess at the time setting. I like to sit and watch the food go around while it cooks. I always put a small drop of oil on each end of the axel so it doesn't squeek. I really like this machine. I don't care much for fish. Glad to hear someone else has one too and likes it. :)

fret, go here...http://www.ronco.com/

They have all the manuals on the site. I downloaded it myself because I didn't get a manual/cook book either. Now you don't have to guess.

Yeah, they say in the manual to put a small amount of veg. oil on the gears to prevent squeeks.
