A gargantuan thank you to everyone who came by and visited with us at the Blade Show. You made the show a very good one for us here at Spyderco and it was great fun meeting and chatting with so many of you that post here.

Special thanks to Ed Schempp who helped us work/man the booth. Not only do we appreciate your company but having you in our booth is like having a celebrity to dinner. :D Our appreciation!

I'm pleased that you all had such a good time, I'm sure it was an excellent show, but please bare in mind us poor unfortunates who because of a rather large stretch of water between our countries are unable to attend. :( :p :(

The phrase "salt into the wounds" springs to mind!

Signed: Bitter and Twisted! ;)

What are the chances of having a "mini-show" in the UK?

Yes indeed the BLADE show is on a equal plane with Christmas to this Spyderhead. Not only was the Great Spyder Factory's booth a super attraction they were the main event of the show for sure. NO Ms. Joyce the "THANK YOU" is ours. WE ( spyderheads & fellow forumites) do indeed thank you all for Great Blades you all feed us with. I am already planning for next year's show. I just hope that eventually the Great Spyder Factory will start selling stuff at the show as well as springing new products on us. No disappointment here. It was a blast and always is when you can add a few more Spyders to the collection. And again we thank you at Spyderco for the VIP passes. They are greatly appreciated. JD :spyder: O

Personally, I love the idea. Making something like that happen would depend on so many factors coming together including the Spyderco Crew's travel schedule, time, planning, budget.

We were lucky enough to have a couple forumites from the UK join us at the IWA Show in Germany this year. Hopefully more will be making the trek in 2006?

The best thing about shows is talking knives and putting faces to names. Knife nuts together in room whether in Atlanta or Leeds is always a guaranteed celebration.

I agree with JD- Thank you Spyderco. Thanks for the VIP pass for friday. Thanks for the awesome knives at the booth (production, concept and prototypes). Thank you the most for the people behind the counter. It was a great time being able to talk to the people behind the names and get to know all of you a little better. You guys were all great!!!

Too Many Friends; Not Enough Time

I really enjoyed putting a face and real name to many who participate at the forum; and I love talking about knives.

Spyderco has a very unique and special culture with in its opperation. I'd call Sal, "poppa Spyder", but I think he was only 8 when I was born. They are my philosophic brothers and sisters; as are most of the folks who help bring you Spyderco knives. Consideration, cooperation and integrity rule at Spyderco; they exist to bring the ELU the best knife they can. For example look at the Blademade awards that Spyderco received; one for collaboration, and one for best import value. To my knowledge this is the first time in the modern history of cutlery that two commercial factories have collaborated on a knife, that speaks for itself, rich and rare. The Byrd line represents a lot of work to bring forward; with the best China has to offer. These awards reflect the values of the company.

I definately did not bring enough hats to the show. I want to give back to those that have supported my efforts and Spyderco. I'm having some more hats made and will send them to "the shining example of integrity, The Goddess of Marketing", Joyce. In her infinite wisdom, and with complete fairness, the hats will be distributed to the forum.

It was great to meet and chat was those of you quick enough to catch me at the Spyderco booth, I enjoyed chats with John, Michael, as well as many others. Thanks to Sal, Gail, Eric, Joyce "GM", and Kelly; it was great to see you all...Take Care...Ed

Thank you Joyce! It was my first but certainly not my last Blade.

It was a delight and honor to meet you, Kelly and the Glessers 3. I especially enjoyed meeting Gail. We had long conversations both Friday and Saturday even on occasion mentioning Spyderco knives. She was aptly named as I was clearly swept away. It was truly a pleasure to speak with such delightful, intelligent folks with common interests.

Again, thank you all for the "VIP" pass and being such welcoming hosts!

Joyce,
THANK YOU!! and the Spydie crew for a great show. The Spyderco booth was the first booth I went to. I missed you, but was able to talk to Gail for awhile. Sorry I missed ya! I wanted to tell you "Thanks!!" for the pass. :)
Please tell us if the Jens Anso folder will go into production. That was a great looking knife.
