I am looking to have one of my Militarys engraved. Does this void the warrenty.

Hmmm, good question. I've been considering jimping my persian like Paul's bone handled one, will that void the warrantee?

Vincent, Spyderco does advertise that their products are suitable for aftermarket, as well as "factory" engraving. That said, there is no simple YES/NO answer here. If someone damages a knife in the process of engraving it, then that damage would not be covered under warranty.
Michael, Spyderco specifically states that disassembly voids the warranty, so I figure the warranty on my Persian expired the day I mailed it out to Ron. For that matter, if I had a "warranty issue" with one of my SFSW Kiwis, I'd take it up with Santa Fe, not Spyderco.

Spyderco does offer engraving services so I would suspect not....
