Why did they discontinue the wired "Q" and "R" models?

I just bought a "Q" model, wiht the wired blade. Why did they discontinue this model. I looks and feels great! Please tell me there isn't something wrong with it!

I belive one of main reason was cost.
It's an expensive blade to make considering all the laser work involved

Spyderholic is correct. Lazer cuting costs and clip design problems, also, making room in the line up for newer models.
