I did a search on this forum for you. I found that Guntholic said there was an article in the SN on May 7th. The entire thread did not mention the Chinook so I am not sure if this is the article you are looking for.

The Chinnok article appeared in SGN, Volume 55 Issue 9, April 2, 2001. It was titled "Keating Chinook by Spyderco"

The Gunting article is Volume 55 Issue 12, May 7, 2001 and is titled "Three Cool Knives".

Massad Ayoob (the pre-eminent gun writer) wrote both articles. Spyderco is honored he would writer about these two knives and would like to publically thank him!
