How many of you know really what you are listing to when you listen to music, Music is my 3rd hobby, which i waste alot of money on headphones. I love music and think its a great hobby, maybe I can turn a few of you on.

Do yuo just listen to music to pass time, or do you just like the sounds.

Go throgh this if ya have the time and learn it and then listen to your music and know what kind it is.

The music is of very high quality so really listen for details.

Vinny, very interesting to say the least, and enjoyable. I've listened to perhaps 50% of it and will complete it later.

Thanks for posting it.

hi Vinvent - Very interesting to hear that you are into music as a music lover/consumer/ collector/connoisseur. I have been an audiophile half my life and I'm deep into stereo and audiophile music and music systems. The closer a recording is to the original performance in reproduction, the better it is for me. Today I've been playing "Devils & Dust" the latest release from Bruce Springsteen. I like that one very much at the time. Not every moment in a day is suitable for listening carefully to music. It has to the right time. On other occasions I listen to radio in a much lesser quality, but I still enjoy.... Keep up with the sounds.... The tracks you've mentioned are really high class. I like Monty Alexander very much. Met him about 15 years ago - was already good at that time!

hi vince,
cool link, but my computer speakers aren't up to par.
i've been a budget audiophile for many years, but nothing too fancy. whoever says knives are expensive, try audio gear, you could really spend a fortune on high end equipment.

I definitely have a Fortune invested in my Audio System.

Four 18" eminence Subwoofers
Two 15" woofer X 2" Horn top cabinets (eminence)
Two 12" woofer X 1 3/4 Horn Tops
One DBX 1066 compressor
One Rane MEQ 30B - 21 band equaliser
One Rane RA-30 real-time analyser (for tuning rooms)
Electro - Voice Crossover
Sony MDR-7506 Headphones (Vincent, get these...)
Allen & Heath WZ 20:8:2 console
Yamaha MX200 X 24 console
2,950 watts of amplification, Blah, blah, blah... etc.

Thats for playback. I won't go into the recording gear, or instruments.

Very true about Learning how to hear. It's an art form. Many people are missing a lot in their music. I hate BOSE.
