Well considering what they're using to cut it up with in the bottom-most of the pictures on that webpage (wonder if it's rip or cross-cut), a Spydersaw might be the most suitable :spyder:

Not a spydie, but I would use my western Bowie or a kabar.

You guys ever see that sport they do to catch catfish, I think they call it noodling. I'm thinking about that right now. Whoa, that bugger could swallow you up.

I saw that, I felt kinda bad for that behemoth. They're really endangered and there seem to be only a handful left. The villagers tried to keep it alive but no go so they butchered it.

You sure that's a catfish??I don't see any whiskers...maybe a CARP  In either case the The Mas Ayoob with it's fillet capabilities would make quick work of that fish...if you had forty people with Ayoobs helping you!!!!!....Doc ;)

I just saw a "Big Fish" fishing show on OLN last week. They were in the Caspian Sea catching humongus sturgen, 300 pounders, babies compared to the Mekong Catfish. So is the Caspian salt or fresh?
I've seen Channel Cats living at the base of a dam out west, 75 to 130 lbs.

What was caught in the Colorado river @ 1200 lbs? That's pretty excessive, marlins run that big, sailfish, some species of tuna. Anything that gigantic needs a lot of room to move to survive.

I got no life, so what! :)
I just surfed to get info on the sturgeon. Jeff, I saw that there was a report of a 1200+ lb sturgeon caught over 50 years ago from the Columbia River in British Columbia. No pictures though. Did find a photo of a 468 record white sturgeon, from Cal. date unknown but looks like the 60's - 70's and reports of 800+ lb atlantic sturgeon but not landed.
It is a fresh water fish and the Caspian Sea is the worlds largest lake.

Sorry, being the bonehead i am, no links. But all I did was type sturgeon into Google and now know more than I care to know. Actually, the old news photo of the guy with the 480 pounder comes up often in the results.
