Native I
Native III PE/SE (which one) im leaning towards plain but i do love the SE.
Centofante III
Stretch C90
any thoughts. I know all are great, and i will get them all, but i need a little push as to what to go for next payday. Thanks,
GS

I like the Native I SE for everyday chores... had I have to do it over I would have opted for the PE, but that Centofante III is awesome, I wouldn't pass that one up...Doc :D

All good choices, GS, for a next purchase.
You might know I am waiting on a Native III PE, today I hope. Also, If I was working from your list, I'd go with the Stretch next. Why? Everyone never really can find anything wrong to bitch about with these 2, one of the reasons I choose the Native III.

I'd have to go with the Native I PE. The native is a classic, all around beauty. But darn, those are some hard choices.
1.) Native I
2.) Native III
3.) Cento
4.) Stretch

Native with CPM-30V steel would be my choice.
Check out the Native Tan C41TN model with tan special FRN & CPM-S30V steel it's the Iraqi Freedom model. Combo edge is my faviorite. :)

when i was finguring into this, i had asumed that the stretch and cento were not as well liked, you dont read much about them it seems. but from what ive read they both seem like a wise choice. but the good news is that i have narrowed down the list some, so its a toss up between the native III and cento. as i stated i will be getting all of theese knives at some point. but for now thoose seem to be the main canidates.

GS,
Since you EDC the Native II, and are currently without it, I would imagine you would want the Black Native. It's probably closest to what your used to for while you wait for you regular EDC to return.
However, it really depends on what your intentions are. I guess a good question would be what you envision yourself using each of the choices for.
Examples:
The Cento III was designed as a "gent's knife" so, if you are looking for something whil wearing slacks, it's a good choice. It's not as bulky, and more elegant looking than the Native's, yet not as heavy as the Stretch
You may also miss your Native II so much that you need the SS of the Stretch to fill that void.
The Native III is just a different version of the Native with different steel.
I would say "get the Stretch". The only worry of not chosing the right one is that one you don't chose will be discoed before you can get one. While I don't think that will happen to any on your list, I am guessing that there are more of the Native's than the other two, so they should remain readily available. Second would be the Cento III for the same reason. Nothing scientific about it, just my personal feeling.

I would go for the NativeIII SE. I've got one and think it's a great knive. Very pointy and cuts almost anything like butter.

I would go with the Native III, oh wait I already (http://mrblonde50.genix.nl/content/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=42) have :p
Great ergos and that VG-10 gets really sharp.

I'd go with the Centefonte. It is probably more likely to be the most collectible of the ones you mentioned.

you know that is all to true. i will definately get another one soon. but i have decided to gain a bit of variety for now. ghostrider makes a valuable point that i miss my native II and that the stretch is the closest thing to it, and by all possible means appeals to me. but i think that the order will be cento, stretch, native III, native I. The reasoning is this, the cento one he// of a looker and i cant pass that up. then the C90 because i love its look and shape. The native I and III have had nothing but great review thus far but i didnt consider the availibility. lets face it they are pretty easy to come by at the current moment. so i will get them, but that will be the order. unless i find some rare/unigue spydie taht will cut in line.
thanks for all the help,
GS

All are great knives and each has some interesting features (for instance, the Centofante has the thinnest blade from them all, and the Stretch makes for a great slicer). I'd go for the Native I in S30V myself, but that's just me...

You owe it to yourself to buy and use a Stretch. IMHO it is one of Spyderco's finest efforts to date.

IMHO, the CentoIII is one of the most under rated :spyder: 's out there. I can honestly say that I prefer this one over the Natives, IF I had to choose. However, if the Native's dropped their swedge, had a full flat grind, and fine texturing on the spine, then it'd be different! :)
The Stretch I do not have yet, but The Deacon, Stevie Ray, and many others speak highly of this flat ground wonder!!! So I say "STRETCH it"...unless you don't have a Persian yet that is! ;)
God bless

Centofante III
I had one and I should have kept it. Was a nice thin very good slicer. Easy to pocket also and just a tad larget than a delica. Great knife.
