My calypso jr just got a big brother. I went in there and held a ton of knives, finally decided on the paramilitary, though the ss atr was awesome (and a deal at 110...special sale) it was super smooth, i decided it was a bit big and heavy. I confirmed the dodo as something to get soon. I was already preferential to the pmillie and would have ordered it except that I was going to be going to the
SFO. It was not the best deal, but it was still not horrible, (about 130...so yeah I paid more...but thats ok for me). I was impressed with the service, the two people who worked ther (sorry, I forgot the names) were both very helpful and indulgent in my request to handle display knives multiple times, and my request to handle a ton of knives, even if it was clear I wasnt really interested in purchasing them. I was also pleased when I decided to purchase, and asked to take a look at the knife, 3 were brought out and I was allowed to choose. I chose the one that was a bit more loose at the cost of a tad of lateral play.

Thanks for the awesome service. :)

the SFO is a "must-see" "must-go" destination if you ever deem yourselves as a Spydernut.. Resistance to Pilgrimage is futile.. :D:spyder::D

Well, tuesday, I went back before heading home, ended up getting a native I SE while I was there, it just felt soo good in hand, and a bumper sticker. I got to talk to Mrs. Glesser for a while and that was very interesting. She has lots of stories to tell, and has a story to tell about most of the knife designs. It was an enjoyable conversation for sure. They had some letters from sodiers who had recieved a knife through their program and that was neat. They also had a number of flags that had been sent back from combat zones. They also had some WTC steel on display that Mrs. Glesser took out and let us look at.

Mrs. Glesser said she had plans for more of a display of things from the sodiers, and overal it was a neat place. Nothing like a bunch of discontinued modles on display, but still the only current modle that they didnt have was the Ti ATR which was on backorder. (which is strange thing to think about when its coming from the same building).

Also, thanks for the advice on where to go, the coors tour and lookout mountain were lots of fun.
