I had some gunk in the bottom of my handle, and also some gathering on the contact points(tang and back) on my cricket...

I field-stripped it...

I spent 20 minutes, gave it good wipedown with mineral oil, and put it back together. Every single part got cleaned.

Before this time, my cricket had an authorative snick-click sound to it. Now it's silky smooth, sort of a tik-tik sound.

anyone else do this?

Hi VW. We've done it in Warrantee & Repair, even in QC. Glad you had fun and a positive experience.

Curiosity and patience don't mix in most ppl.

It wasn't the first knife I dismantled to clean, but it was my first linerlock.

Are the FRN as easy to re-asemble? I'm planing on getting a FRN/Plain to go with my serrated.
