I just recently got a Spyderco (All Of God's Creatures) t-shirt so I know they're still available. They also have a hat.

more than that man!! something stylish (no offense)..that is so basic.. I think most here would probably disagree that the "All Of Gods Creatures" t-shirt is to basic and not stylish. Many companies put only there company logo on there shirts. Besides this is Spyderco not Tommy Hilfigure. ;)

I have the hat, it's nice, black with red trim in sandwich bill.

I think it'd be better to focus on an item and see if Sal would consider making it if there was enough interest.

How about a high quality Spyderco hoodie? I think that would be really nice.

tommy hilfiger by the way..nice hoody w.small embroidered spyder on front and maybe a web on the back w.spyder in the web..it is endless..not that they are not stylish (bad choice of words) but they haven't had anything different in years..same t shirt and hat..what about an red or silver embroidered spyder on the front of a black fitted hat..w.the name spyderco across the back in small print..there are shirts that jfj has that has (i think) is old that never sold, he has several, that has a police on back, almost ghost like w.spyder or name across it..things like that..

I could see a line of jeans and pants with the tops of all the pockets re-inforced to prevent Spyder marks. :D

my green hat needs a wash, the left collar of both my jacket and vest are getting worn out from sticking my pin in it(or clipping my ss cricket up there)...

wouldn't mind a bandana with the :spyder: on there(embroider it rather than silk screen)

This is probably too much, but, I'd like to see a light colored baseball hat (to reflect heat), with a web all the way around it, center at the top of the hat. Spyderco across the back (maybe spyderco.com), and a blue bug (gray hat) or a green bug (tan hat) on the front (Either color if the hat is white). Reaallly reaching: a silver bug on the top, instead of the usual button, in the center of the web. I can dream... :D I'd like to have a silver bug as a tie-tack, not that I ever wear a tie; mabe a hat pin :D .

Funny that this topic came about today. I called the SFO yesterday and spoke with Gail about this very same topic. I recently scored two awesome Spyderco button down shirts from eBay (for once, it pays to be skinny) and would like a few more so I can wear them at work. When I asked Gail if there were any other dress shirts for sale with the Spyderco Logo embroidered, she said that there weren't, but if the folks on the forums are serious and would get in on the bandwagon, "anything is possible"

So, who would like a nice button down shirt, no specific color yet, with the embroidery over the left front pocket??? I'll be down for at least 3 more!

i would never do it but you can get the logo embroidered anywhere for a fee..bring in your favorite piece of clothing and bam..there it is..just have to bring picture in.i'm sure it is that easy..but it would be hard to to t shirts bootleg or the other items..it is not that wide spread that they will be bootleggers..

I didnt want this thread to disappear without throwing in my two cents.

I personally would like to see a clothing line, nothing major just maybe a few different shirts and caps, maybe a jacket. Specifically I would like a OD or hunter green shirt with a black :spyder: on the back, something that can be worn as an over shirt or to a date. A OD or hunter green cap would be cool something like Rastus's Idea. ;)

The topic of a Forum shirt was discussed over two years ago.

There was a lot of interest but nothing ever happened. It's not like there is big retooling costs to produce a shirt with a logo ;) Hopefully this could happen this time.

Since so many people would love to sport some Spyderco clothing of one type or another, perhaps we should get a list going of the desired things, maybe have a poll, and try to get something from that list into our greedy, Spyder-crazy hands. Whatcha think?
This is what I have seen suggested so far:

T-Shirts - (God's Critters, some older ones exist, too) Something more radical seems to be wanted here.

Sweatshirts - Hooded ones, with some silkscreen Spyder bug on the front left side, and a BIG Spyder on the back. Color choices would be sweet.

Hats - (Current hat and visor- very awewsome, BTW!) Request for fitted (flexfit) hat, in either O.D. or hunter greeen, and black. Silver or Red Spyder logo on front, "Spyderco" on back.

Tie Tacks - (I use the Spyderco logo pin, or the Dodo pin) While I am not too clear on the desired items in detail, perhaps others can provide details.

Bandana? (embroidered?)

Jackets Jackets have a wide area to play in here. We'll need more input on this. Colors suggested were OD or Hunter Green.

Polo Shirts - I assume these to be a solid color with some embroidery.

Dress Shirts/ Button down - Since I am very interested in more of these, I would have to say that the denim w/ logo, a white dress w/ black stitching, and a black dress shirt with Silver logo embroidered would be a tasty looker.

I think that the (All of God's Creatures) shirt they currently have looks like something that you would wear in the 1970's or 1980's. It looks pretty goofy in my opinion :)

I agree on the other stuff though. I'd love a Spyderco Hoodie (like a nice one from Russel Athletic or something).

How about a black T-Shirt with the big red Spyder on the back?

What about a hat with just the bug on it and not all the jibber jabber like the current hats?

How about a Spyderco Zippo?

How about a Spyderbug Keychain?

:D

I have some fairly specific requests, but I don't really expect very specific results ( there are how many :spyder: users now?) :)
On the subject of "tie tacs", I may not have used the right term for what I, personally, would like. I'd like to see a silver (nickel works and stays nicer looking longer), and gold (yellow brass works and also keeps looking good longer) pin. About 3/8" to 1/2" in size (those who know what it is will see it, those who don't will ask).
"Hat-pin" might describe what I would like to have better then "tie-tac (even though that is the word I used), since I'd like to attach this to several different things. The pin, if balanced right, would keep the bug from inverting ( the dreaded anti- :spyder: sign), and would help prevent bringing about the apocalypse.
On the subject of hats, I would really like to see a light tan hat, with an OD embroidered bug on the front, and OD Spyderco on the back. This is specific because I am in the sun all day long, and the lighter color reflects the light (heat) better, here in the desert. The tan color doesn't show dirt as fast as white will. I would (and hopefully will) buy an OD :spyder: -hat for winter, but why not ask for and explain what I would really like? ;) I'd pay $20.00, easily.
As for shirts, a summer shirt (not a knit) would see plenty of wear from me; a long sleeve shirt would be great for winter. I like the "less is more" thinking that David Lowry mentioned above, and remembering that some of us have to consider the sun in what we wear: A light shirt (not necessarily white) for summer, and a dark, maybe long sleeve shirt for winter. I'd like to see a contrasting bug, left front, and Spyderco (.com maybe) across the back.
I would welcome any other clothing that Spyderco makes, too. As well as some of the other things mentioned (with the possible exception of cologne, or toothpaste) :D

Good day, all.

Some excellent ideas here. I concur with them, by and large.

I will point out that these items will likely not be cheap, either in price or quality. I just can't see Spyderco putting their logo on anything that isn't top-notch.

As for a tie-tac, I would love it; I have drifted away from the suit for the summer months, but I am quite certain that this autumn they will return. A button-down or "Polo" shirt would be wonderful, and a "hoodie" would be out of this world. I guarantee my Lady would require one for daily wear.

Since we're tossing ideas about, how about a nice wristwatch with the :spyder: on the face? Make the entire case stainless, if you please. :D

Stainless band preferred, leather band optional.

Normally I would agree, however the hats that were recently reissued are far from top-quality. Maybe it's just that I don't like the Chinese "beanie" style cap and would favor a more "high-rise" construction (I can't think of how else to describe it  ) Furthermore, the brim on mine wasn't sewn on straight - it's a bit to the side :( . I didn't think the Spyderco Warranty and Repair section would be of much help on a hat manufacturing defect so I just kept it, but it doesn't get much wear. Instead I favor some of the better quality baseball caps I own. The T-shirts are OK, (Fruit of the Loom) but again, not top-quality.

I would like to see Spyderco sell a good quality :spyder: embroidered polo/golf style shirt and a GOOD quality baseball cap at the very least. The way the :spyder: stickers were recently gobbled up indicates there would probably be a good market for other Spyderco branded merchandise (in addition to knives that is ;) )
