Hello All,
Right now I'm waiting for the postman to ring the bell and deliver my first Spyderco. It's gonna be the Chinook II!! From the moment I first saw it and studied the specs I was sold and ordered one on the net. (I know I should have been ordering it a few years ago)
As I'm new to this forum here's a little introduction:
Born in 1965 in Holland and still living there with my wife and two kids.
My profession: Traffic engineer
Hobbies: Mountainbiking, HiFi, and sometimes knives.
My interest in knives goes on and off; but right now i'm very in to it.
After reading some threads on this forum as a guest I really am impressed about the positive feedback you guys give eachother and of course the positive feedback about the Spydies.
What's my knife history?
Since I was a kid I do love knives. However it took until 1993 for me to purchase a "real" one (real for me that is). It was a SOG Tomcat PE (won the knife of the year award). For no reason whatsoever I never gave Spyderco a closer look (It's a shame because of all the years I could have had a Chinook)
1994: SOG Winder I & II PE's
1998: Fox 577 PE
2004: MOD 685 Hunter PE
After studying the 2005 catalog I think the Cricket SS PE and Native FRN PE are also on my shortlist.
Regards,
Crafft.
