Clip question

I wanted to get myself Endura with molded clip.
One of the problems with that particular knive is that clip is broken off.
Is there cure for that? Like attaching different, metal clip? Have anyone done this successfully? I'm not too good with my hands so if this is not easy to do I might have to pass this deal altogether.

If you send it in to Spyderco they can afix a metal clip were the frn one was.I think it a 5 dollar fee.

I beleive they're charging $20 for that now, not really worth it unless you already own the knife. Personally, I think you might be better off looking around, either for one with an undamaged integral plastic clip, or one of the newer metal clip version. Considering they can be found new for around $40, and used but in good shape for $25-30, I don't see much sense in trying to salvage a damaged one unless you can do the work yourself.

Yes, $20 eats up all, if any, possible savings of getting this knife. Especially not knowing its overall condition the whole thing is too risky and not worthwhile.

Rove all traces of the clip...drill out the lanyard hole...use a strip of 0.090 Kydex...bolt it in the hole, use Loctite on bolt...and make a new slimmer more comfortable clip. :)
