I saw this movie for the first time last night. One word comes to mind when I think about it.

W:eek:W

It's a martial arts spoof. Slap stick comedy with kung fu in it. An interesting pair to say the least.

I was blown away... The martial arts and effects in this movie are great! The story is pretty well thought out as well.

I'd say it is a mix between Looney Tunes and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

If you like to laugh and/or a fan of Kung Fu movies. This movie is for you. :)

I love Stephen Chow, my favorite movie of his is King of Comedy. Some of the funniest, strangest scenes put to film.

Hustle is a riot as well, the guy who plays the Beast is actually a 70's kung fu star they brought back to the big screen.

Sorry for the phrase but I love old school meets new school. Sonny Chiba in Kill Bill was CLASSIC!!!!!!

this movie was quite good. i saw it fearing the worst, and laughed for most of it. aside from a few minor things i didnt like, it was quite funny. the kung-fu was great, and well coreographed (?) sorry i cant spell. but either way it was one the best movies that i saw this year.

from the beginning, kung fu movies often incorporated elements of comedy -- as well as high drama, romance... pretty much anything you could ever think of squeezing into a film. part of trying to make the films as entertaining and appealing as possible to as many different people as possible.

in my opinion, "the crippled masters" still reigns supreme as the craziest, funniest, awful-est, most unbelieveable kung fu film ever made. you spend the entire movie debating whether or not to laugh, vomit, or cover your eyes in horror.

speaking of kung fu... in just a handful of hours, i've got a big sash test...!

I love all scenes with the smoking landlady, especially when she and her husband suddenly appear inside the car. The axe gang musical scene had me laughing hard, too.
Inside it's genre this movie is pure genius. :D
No one wanted to join me when I wanted to see Kung Fu Hustle, so I went alone one afternoon and had the whole cinema to myself. :)

Btw, anyone who likes martial arts movies should check out Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior. The story is mediocre but the martial arts and action scenes are absolutely the best.

Oh man...is this movie like Kung Pow? :o

BTW, i must agree HEAVILY with Silverback on "Ong Bak: Thai Warrior"...man, the main guy kicks arse and he does all his own stunts like Jackie "What's his Name". Hey Silverback, how's that chase scene where he jumps through that small circle of barbed wire! One thing irritating was that guy who had that electronic speaking device...*UGH*! :D Take care my friend!

God bless

Chad,

Not even close... Kung Pow was pretty stupid. If I recall I fell asleep in the middle of it. :)

It's a good movie and worth the $3.50 at Blockbuster.

Kung Pow!! brrrr...

Stephen Chow is a lifelong Bruce Lee fan and has been practicing martial arts for over a decade. Hustle is his homage to the films of his youth, he sprinkled the film with many great cameos. Yuen Wah, the guy with the mustache, actually was a stunt double for Lee in Enter the Dragon, with the flips. Wah is a legend and one of my fave actors.

i thought the movie was good/funny for a lot of reasons. i really like the parts that dont make sense, like when the lady and main guy start running really fast for no reasons
