I know the Wegner was on the list for possible culling. I have heard rumors that it is marked for discontinuation. Is this true? If so I had better stock.

Tim Wegner said that it is on the list of knives possibly to be culled -- Spyderco won't actually make a final decision on the cull list for a few months. Tim also said that if it is culled from the regular lineup, he hopes to get it as a Blade-Tech exclusive like the Mouse.

sal will probably give advanced waring on the status of the culled modles, ihope, so we can stock up. i have 2 wegners but i might buy one more if they go out of production. is the "notalynx" an improved wegner or a totaly diffent design?

The knife formerly known as Lynx is not a replacement for the Wegner. AT least that is what Tim Wegner says on Bladeforums. It is a different design. And an awesome one at that. But then again when was the last time I saw a Wegner design I didn't like?
