I've asked this about six months ago and ask it again:

What knives are scheduled for release in the next six months? I understand nothing is carved in stone.

Any chance of the Military Jr. being released this year?

Hi DL, Ronin.

Lil' Temperance should be out in a few weeks, but collectors will more than likely gobble up the first months production.

Bob Lum FB Tanto (Lumto?) should be out around SEP/OCT.

Meerkat is scheduled for Fall.

The Perrin Bowie FB by year end.

That's all I can say for now.

I recently found out that we're making a gun metal blue Chinese Folder being made for a distributor in Europe. There should be about 800 or so available for the remaining market. All will be plain edge.

Anyone interesting in getting one of these should probably order now. They are due in about 60 days.

What is the best bet for me to purchase a meerkat?

Could I order from Cutting Edge(Spydie distributer) this winter, or should I just order from SFO for better results?

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

Thanks for the reply Sal.

I take it the Temperance series is designed for right-handers?

What type of sheath will the Lum Tanto have? Will the sheath be left-handed friendly?

Sal, can you tell me a little more about the perrin bowie? Is it based on his street bowie design? Thats a neck knife is'nt it?

Hi DL. At this time, the folders in the Temperance series are right hand pieces. Whether or not we make lefties will depend on the response.

Regarding the sheaths on the FBs, that is a good question. We're still wroking on the sheaths.

Ronin. the Perrin Bowie is similar to his street bowie in design, but it is a full size piece with a 5" blade.

Sal:

Is the Blue Chinese folder being sold only through the Spyderco outlet or is is going through distributors?

Thanks,

Greg

Hi GG. Welcome to the forum.

They should be available from normal distribution channels.

It was thanx to Boker that we're making them. Boker wanted to run some in Germany. I might also add that Boker is a very good distributor for Spyderco.

Hi Sal, any chance of getting Jerry Van Cook to design a mbc blade?

I've never heard Jerry mention anthing about designing MBC blades. I don't even know if he does that? Designing successful knives is tougher than it might appear.
