hi,
I'm new here.
Few days ago, i bought a spyderco knife on spyderco.com.
They gave me a UPS tracking # but UPS told me that it was not a valid UPS #.
Impossible to have a aswer from the spyderco online store since that in spite of my e-mails. I live in france
I begin to be worry :(
If somebody knows what to do to help me, i'll be grateful

Typos happen with those numbers sometimes, at both ends...

If you cut and pasted the #, are you sure you did not leave off a letter code at one end, or grab a period at the end (have done that a couple times myself)

If you retyped the number, any chance you mistyped it?

What email address are you writinng to? You might need to try a different one, some may not be intended for two way communication and may not be monitored. Customer service or Retail sales might be worth a try.

Small company too, not a 24X7 operation, so may just be a timing issue.

Can't help you with this situation but funny though, on three seperate situations with online orders in the past two weeks (not knife related) the same thing happened to me when I tried to use the tracking feature. It's little comfort to you, but all 3 arrived without delay.

Hi moonlight.
Try to contact with spyderco to send you that tracking nr. again.
After that send it to me via PM. I can have a look in our internal system and reply to your PM where exactly that parcel is. (Btw. I work at UPS in my country.)

It could be UPS also, sometimes if you try to track the number to early, it will say its not availible

Welcome to the forums! We hope you stay around. As for your problem, Vincent's post is probably accurate. It takes approximately 12-24 hours for a UPS tracking number to show anything. Odds are if you check again, it will show you the information that you need now. If not though, please email me direct at khunter@spyderco.com with your information (Name, Shipping Address and the tracking # that we gave you originally). I can then investigate it from here.

i'm still waiting for some news. You ease my mind a little bit. It is the third knife i buy and i'm cursed with spyderco knives. The first one was drowned in a river in the french riviera few years ago. The second one was stolen in my car by kids after they broke my car glass.
I hope this new one will be blessed :p

Welcome to the forums. I'm waiting on UPS to deliver a knife to me in Texas. I ordered from NGK, and the tracking number took about a day to activate. Everything should be OK. :)

Believe me, I can't wait for my Centofante III to get here.

but it still don't work since monday, august 22. :confused:

I dunno if there is a different tracking number for international orders, but my tracking number is much longer than the one you listed. Maybe they didn't copy the whole number?

i just realized that my order is not exactly a spyderco but a byrd. Is it a good one? if somedy know this knife and his quality, please post it to me :p
