Can anyone provide some information on the lock strength of the Ayoob?

I am not sure, but if anyone can help, please include the lock strength of the Endura. I have heard claims from numerous other companies and would like to know how the Endura stacks up in testing.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

from what i've heard...

Ayoob=MBC testing... 150-200+lbs/inch

Endura/Delica=Heavy... 100-150lbs/inch

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

Hi Matt. The Ayoob lock strength rates heavy duty by our standards (100 or more inch/lbs of lock stength per inch of blade length).

Is there a reference somewhere accessible for us knuts where we can read the #s, and find an explanation as to the significance of each #? It sure would be handy.

I think that to some extent, by looking at the lockbacks, and feeling their action, one can get a rough idea of the "duty level" of the knife. I'm sure that all the compression locks are going to be up there in the max strength area. But, it is the linerlocks that concern me.

My Wegner feels strong as the dickens. Lockup is perfect, no blade play in any direction. My old Walker Ltwt frankly worries me a little bit.The lockup is consistenyly good, but it just has a sense of light duty, almost "weakness" about it. I don't need or intend to use it for heavy duty stuff, but would like to have a notion of how strong/weak it really is.

Even among the lockbacks, I would really like to know the group(s)/sector(s) into which the Goddard Ltwt and the Native FRN knives fall. In my "planning," both have either primary or backup self defense capability, should that ever be required.
