I got up @ about 6:30AM (had to go potty) & all that I could think of was a Civilian. I'm new to :spyder: so I have a very VERY small collection ( 1 Chinook & 1 Endura with a ZDP Caly jr. & a Dialexa Adv. on the way.) Man does this knife looks MEAN :D and I like mean looking knives :D . Well, just wanted you guys to know that I now realize how much $ this hobby is going to cost me. I have many other "name brand" knives, but none of them compare to my Chinook (including knives that cost double the price.) One quick question; Did :spyder: ever make a PE Civilian? I doubt it because of its purpose, but just wondering. I probably won't be able to get it any time soon :( because I've pretty much bought a :spyder: a week since I discovered them and my wife's about to kill me. Oh well I can always dream.

Unfortunately, yes they DID make PE Civilians!!!! I say unfortunately because they very rare and not everybody has the chance to own one... (I have 2 ;) )

they made some with Almite/Kraton insert handles and CF...

BlackNinja;

2 months ago I purchased my first Spyderco, and I actually had no idea of what it was, and so I asked a forum whether or not it was worth purchasing for $80 U.S. After recieving positive feedback, I purchased a Civillian, CF in PE, and even more rarer in LH model, for a total of $80. U.S.

The LH was what made me question it, but I went ahead and got it anyway.
It is now my pride and joy of my collection, and over the last 2 months I have acquired a total of 6 Spydie's;

- Civillian (CF, PE, LH) #132V
- Karambit #132
- Lil' Temperance (Leaf Point, PE) #132
- Meerkat (PE, 440V) #132
- Military Forum Model (PE) #132/500
- Spyderhawk #132

I purchased all of these from a seller on ebay, whom was selling a collection of Spyderco's, which he purchased at a low price, and so I managed to score some great knives for way below their worth. (I only wish I could have afforded to purchase all of his Spydie's).

Basically, the Civillian is my favourite, and I don't see myself ever parting with it in the near future. I am planning to collect a few more Civie's, and I must admit that whilst I prefer, and usually only purchase PE knives, I actually tend to think that some Spydie's look good in SE, and the Civilian is one of them, as it makes it look more aggresive, and in SD, the serrations will rip through the attacker's clothes much easier, and will do alot of damage as the same time. So therefore I plan to purchase a Civie in G10 with SE. There are a many to be found for sale, however unfortunately the PE version is scarce, and if those whom own one are anything like me, they won't be giving it up anytime soon.
