Sal, I posted the same question in May and you said a Gunting shipment went off to Ramrod in South Africa at the end of May.

Nothing has reached Ramrod by 13 July.

I know for a fact that Ramrod has long ago placed orders for the Gunting (I placed my first order with in Nov 2000 and subsequently confirmed my order several times). I was told several times (at least 4 times) by Ramrod that the Gunting was backordered and that Spyderco did not include Guntings in the shipments since it was ordered the first time.

Yeah Deon, I know that there was abit of a mixup made on the shipment and only 2 collectors pieces (belonging to Marc) arrived, the other normal pieces where left out.
There was meant to be a new shipment with the left out Guntings, this is the shipment Im asking about now.

Im owed a Gunting by Marc of Ramrod as I returned the collectors piece to him, in exchange that Id get a piece soon as one arrives, Ive also been on order from way back last year.

Hope we get em soon

I just was to state to clear things up, that I am in NO WAY, putting Spyderco or Ram Imports down in ANY way, or trying to put any form of pressure on them about this, I am just curious as to when the shipment will be getting here as I have planning to do(tapes so on)

Amen. Sorry for all of the hassles. Glad things are finally sorted. South Africa's a long ways away, but still on the planet. Shows what a simple screw up can become.

We build Guntings as fast as we can. They are a difficult knife to make because they are very close tolerance, take a lot of &quot;banging&quot; and still MUST be reliable.
