Greetings,
I was wondering if either the larger sized or the Jr is harder to find? Untile reciently I had never seen either- period. Now I have a Jr on order (from another Spydie person) and then just came across another locally today. In fact the local one (Deacon take note) is a left handed version. :)
I got them both because I like the style and had a good laugh with the local seller after buying the lefty and telling him the funny thing is that I am right handed... {Spyder Sickness}
I would like to find the larger version and if anyone could point me in the right direction I might have the lefty up for trade. ;)

I'm no expert, but I've always seen more Jrs for sale/trade etc than the larger sized. But I will say I have NEVER heard of a left handed model. Interesting though, always fun to learn something new.

I will try and get some pics up later. When I first picked it up and was playing with it - it just seemed funny.... Then I figured it out and looked closer at it.
Had a good laugh and bought it anyway!

PICS !! Did not have time to clean her up or anything - just wanted to verify that it is a lefty? (updated pics - cleaned her up a bit)
A lefty indeed! Very nice. Such a shame that they didn't make a PE with G-10 scales

BBT with better pics - cleaned her up a bit :) :spyder: :spyder: :spyder:
I have been playing with her and am finding it to be a better knife than I first thought. Seemed small - and of course a bit awkward with it being a left handed set up. But she is a really sweet little knife - now I know how lefties feel with some of the other Spydie right handed only knives... :o

What - no lefties to comment on a dedicated Spyderco leftie knife??

I'm still in shock that it exists
The Terzuola has never been a knife that really interested me though. Just something about it didn't appeal to me. I'm sure it's a great knife, and I love the fact that there was a left handed model produced, but I've never had a desire for one, and can't really comment on it, having never handled one.
I am jealous of you finding it though, I'm not that lucky to find a rare knife like that ;)

Scott I know what you mean. I always think I found an interesting one only to find out that ... well its not so exclusive. I am sure a hidden catche' of these will turn up tomorrow- esp after what I paid for it.
But I think what I do like about this knife is that it is kind of ugly. Sort of like a blade attached to a stick... :D But it also has that early years alligator look of Spydies to it as well and I really like that period. And it really is a great little knife - has its own special charm.
Not sure what I will do with it - but perhaps I can apply it to the aquisition of a large Terzuola

Definitely hold onto it for now, maybe someone will chime and tell you it's one of only a few handful made, or it was a prototype that escaped. I've never seen or heard of one, but perhaps the veterans here will have better knowledge than I(they usually do ;) ) You could have an extremely collectible knife in your hands.
Spyderco doesn't make many left handed specific knives, and when they do, they don't make a whole lot of them, so it's at the very least "uncommon."

Scott -
You make a good point - A company like Spyderco (heck any company) would not make too many "left handed only" anythings! Not a bad nitch though- but you got to fish where the fish are and flexability (right or left handed) would be the way to sell.
Well it's not going anywhere for now - my 11 year old son - a lefty - has played with it and he really likes it. I think part of it IS that its left handed ONLY - makes it special to him. He likes to watch his dad try and make it work :)

That's probably about as entertaining as watching me work a right handed liner lock. Takes about 30 seconds for me to do it, and I start sweating from concentrating so hard.
Which is kinda funny, since the comp lock gives me no trouble at all, and the basic principle is the same.

Yes - and it makes him feel superior too! I know about the concentration thing too - sweat, muffled swearing ... And the best part is when Dad cuts himself! :D
