I doubt the Spydercrew will let the SKU numbers go far beyond C100 without choosing a knife to produce. Will it be in 2006? I like surprises and anticipation and all that but this might just be too much. :D Will an auto mark a new era for the clip-it line? C'mon Kristi, please. :o

When I spoke to Sal during my trip a few weeks ago, there was no news. They're not decided yet. I did handle an auto proto, which was quite nifty. :p But no decisions on models or types yet.

Thanks for the update Wouter! This is one of those situations when no news is not good news. :(

Wouter any other detail about that auto would be appreciated. I know you were probably sworn to secrecy. How about just the approximate blade length?

Id like an auto, dont know if it will be sold due to legal restrictions.

But we can wish and hope.

I know. I am just like a child waiting for Christmas sometimes. This is one box I can't help but rattle and try to figure out what's inside. If it does not come out 'til 2007 or 2008, it really does not matter to me. Plenty of good :spyder: gifts to unwrap in the meantime.

Auto Spydie... hell yea!!! Spyderco is long overdue on tapping into the auto market. Benchmade sells thousands of auto Stykers, AFO's and 5000's to the US military. Not to mention overseas military, LEO and auto knife loving civilians everywhere. (everywhere their legal that is ;) )

I would guesstimate the blade length on the proto I handled to be about 3.25 to 3.5 inches.

No thanks.

Although I would buy one... I could never use it. The Chicago PD doesn't play around when it comes to auto's..... Especially if the blade is over 3 inches..

I'm hoping for something colorful in G10 with a compression lock.
Sorry Paul.

Same here. I'd most likely buy one but AO's are illegal here in Michigan.
