JD Smith hadle

Hello.

I´m going to buy my first Spyderco, and it will probably be the JD Smith. It looks great with the micarta handle, but I have a question about it. Does the micarta handle of the Smith have steel liners, or is it only micarta like in the Military, Starmate, and other G10 handled Spydercos?.

Hi Spaniard. Welcome to the Spyderco forum. I don't have one with me, but I'm pretty sure there is one steel liner. The lockback design works well with no liners. We use one liner to have some steel to screw the clip into. Micarta moves, so a linerlock with micarta scales needs two steel liners.
