Military slash test with pics

Greetings, you all,

Yesterday, I did a can slashing test with my Military/SE. On the third can I succeeded in slashing it in half with 1 blow.
After the test my poor Mili lost micro chips of 2 points and was really dull :eek: . It will be a nice little project to get it back to shaving sharpness again. By now I've got it to the point at wich the knive is able to clean cut paper again.

These are not top quality pictures because I made them with my mobile(can't afford a digi cam right now) and I'm not much of a photographer(yet) :o

Sometimes it really does suck being a collector, as well as being somewhat of a perfectionist....... I would thoroughly enjoy experiencing exactly what my Spydie's are capable of, but until I can manage to overcome my paranoia in regards to retaining a mint collection, I will just sit back and share in the enjoyment of your "can-slashing confrontation". :)

Those can's should be deemed illegal, the way they jump out into the path of your Millie and all......... :p

I just ordered a PE black blade. It is fun to look at the pics and know what the knife can do in case of an attack of mutant beer cans. lol

Pics aren't as bad as would be expected.

That serreted edge really tore into those cans. Brings to mind the quote from MAA James Keating's "Civilian" video. "The Civilian doesn't cut, it rends."

Interesting edges the cut left...hmmmmm...ya know, sometimes I too, get that type of looking cut, then the next can has a clean cut... :confused:

All I know is, the ABS guys did this sorta thing, and Jerry VanCook had a cut soda can sent to him by a maker along with the knife that did it...so i give it a try here and there. :D

The Mili PE is on it's way from the US of A to Holland. I expect it next week together with a Navigator II to show it the way.. :D :D

I want to see pictures of cutting the cans when they are full of a liquid. Maybe use bottled water instead of good suds!

LOL Jimmy. The edge was very dull after 3 slashes and lost 2 chips of the points :eek: . After a lot of effort on the sharpmaker(spaced over 2 days) I finally got the knife back to shaving sharp again :D
