Out of classes at 1300hrs...

1312 I have a sheet of OSB come flying off the courier truck in front of me, chips my windsheild. Spend just over an hour in the copshop after I got all the info that the company would give me.

not even out of the copshop 30min, driving down to dad's office to tell him how the windsheild claim went, and I get rearended. 1525hrs.

Call sgi(insurance) when I get home, spent 15min on the phone with them, get my car booked into the bodyshop, and then spent another hour in the doc's office to be seen...

"x rays look good, ice it and take life easy the next few days"... Well, I have a stiff neck all the way from collarbone to skull, and from spine to right ear... never mind the migrane that feels like a spike has been driven through my spine and into my right eye. nice intense migrane, full right side. Can't touch either ear to my shoulder, hurts like hell to touch my chin anywhere near my shoulder on the attempt to right, and he's getting no reflex on left knee. Pain killers BARELY work for me. Asprin and Tylenol I can take em all day and not feel it... ibuprofin barely hits, even with high doses(as in 2grams)

depending on how tomorrow feels I'll be booking in to see my doc within the week. Migrane is already affecting my appitite and we're only 4hrs in.

Nice 4" deep dent, 2.5" long crack in my bumper, sgi sees it wednesday afternoon... chipped windshild just gets added on to that bill.

And because I have other work that has to be done by the end of the month I now have a $500 bill to pay for that, never mind what my neck/head costs me....

anyone feel like bringing a rifle over and putting me out of my misery?

And I thought my day was pretty bad. :(

My condolences to you, but tomorrow's another day, hopefully Karma(which kicked you in the rear end today) will balance out then. With luck, tomorrow might be a great day. Though with that kind of migraine, it'll be tough.

Good luck, you sound like you need it.

Vampyrewolf, the karma/balance thing always happens. Sometimes it only works out enough to "break even", sometimes really cool stuff happens. Sometimes it just takes a while :o ;)
Good luck with everything,

Patrick, hope you feel better. I was in an accident last year and T-boned a guy(his fault) I went to the chiropractor. I was leary at first about having him crack my neck but I had a WAD 3 whiplash(pretty bad) that helped out lots. My Doc also gave me T-3's so that was a bonus too. Take it easy...you'll be sore for awhile.

rainman: what about "third times the charm"? still haven't found the hitme note on my car...

ghostrider: dunno if I should lock myself away or buy a lotto ticket... considering what my bumper looks like and that the airbags didn't blow.

craig: xrays came out 'normal', so anything that there is for damage is soft tissue... wonderful eh? And I have to wait for my doc to get anything.

david: tomorrow is the real test... can I even get out of bed....

Sorry to hear about the bad day.
Hit their insureance for the damage and pain and suffering.
Wondering about the ibuprofin,2 grams,thats 200 miligrams,right.
I live off the stuff, most days I take 800 mg before I go to work and 400 mg before I go to bed on real bad nights, like tonight.

Hi Pat, sorry to hear about your problems. At least look at the bright side: it can't be any worse than that... I hope

Try a heating pad on your neck, my wife was advised to use one after her back surgery. Ray

Jeff: 2 grams, as in 2000mg...

as in 5x400mg superstrength motrin.

Last night was "workable" for 2hrs, but it took 2400mg of muscle relaxant.

Just laid in bed for the last 45min deciding if it was even worth getting uproght today... neck is really stiffening up, knot is getting worse along my spine, and the migrane is back in full, pounding away in pitchblack room.

Finally managed to get upright, and I'm shaking pretty good. Tossed on a couple extra layers, thats slowing down.

Damn it Pat...WTF?!!

I haven't been here for a few days and I see you're already doing the Terminator thing *again*?!! Man alive...and here I was b******g about only getting an hour or two of sleep between 16+hr. shifts in Hell the past few days... :o

Prayers sent your way KnifeBro...no bullets! After all you been through, I'd just be wasting my ammo. ;) Seriously though...

Take care and God bless... :(

Chad: and here I was a week ago trying to figure out how much more damage it was possible to do to my body... since I've already gotten both knees, 5 ribs, both shoulders and left wrist... never mind too many concussions and a bad right ankle(from my track days).

guess I found out that I missed the neck over the last 5-6yrs.

I'll take pics of my bumper when it's light out.

Well Pat, I suppose that Murphy (and his damn Law) had to be in someone's back pocket on Monday. It appears that it was just your turn. Keep the faith, and get some prescription pain killers for Pete's sake. That off-the-shelf stuff just don't cut it sometimes. Some time in a hot tub or Jacuzzi might help with the aches and pains.

No offense intended, Psimon, but everytime I have ever said that, Murphy/Loki/whatever has gone to great lengths to show me that it can always get worse; it seems like almost a self-inflicted curse  . Maybe it's just me. Besides, yesterday (and night), Vampyrewolf shouldn't have been in a car anyway.......judging by his handle :D

Sorry to hear that you're not doing good. I sincerely hope things will get better for you very soon. Hang in there and take care.

And shoot you? When you pay my ticket and have a place for me to stay(and enough beer). Then maybe, after you have learned me your wicked sharpening skills, I will shoot you :D (Nah.. don't think so, get well very soon)

My thoughts are with you ;)

Aw, vampyrewolf, I hope things pick up a bit for you. I know how crappy some days can be. I just got some bad medical news today myself, but I sure didn't have a string of things happen like you! Make sure you see your dr. You need to document things as much as you can. Stay well & God bless!

So I guess you don't want to talk about sharpening angles. lol

What a day you had, better lay low for a while and shake off the bad vibes. Hope you feel a bit better in the coming days.

well, today was interesting...

awake at 0510, finally got upright around 0545 and online around 0600. Took a flexoral and was out again by 0800, woke up around 1100, got the mail(got my box of Gano Cafe from JD Spydo finally), made lunch, watched a bit of tv...

got a call, my car goes in for the first set of repairs(last years accident) tomorrow after sgi looks at my rear end afternoon... so they'll order the back end parts while it's in for the front end repairs, hopefully they can do it all at once and get my car back ready for another accident . At least I get a courtesy car while it's in there. So, I had to clean my car out... 2 boxes...

Got called from the copshop to get the courier's plate #, so now they have his correct one and will let me know how that pans out. fun.

Now I just have to keep going and try not to let my neck slow me down too much, and see how this pans out... I mean, 24hrs in... migrane has gone down to annoying, but the neck is still nice and stiff. Have a few days of Flexoral in the cupboard from my mother's whiplash 12yrs ago. They seem to help with the stiffness enough to be worth it.

Tomorrow:
find out where the hell our class is going for the first 3hrs(wednesday morning is industry tours), either meet them there or take the free ride. Write a math midterm in the last 2hrs of the day(1300-1500), boot it down to the sgi inspection center about 15km from school for a 1530 appt, and then give my car over to the shop for as long as it takes them.

No offense taken... And you know what, now that i think about it, you're right... Sometimes, things goes from bad to worst... But that allways happens to the same persons. Some are born with a bad karma... Let's hope VW didn't...
