I have just started using today my serrated military model after sitting in it's box for a year and a half. So I would like to ask you fans out there two questions. First is it harder to sharpen it compared to ATS-55 blade. Also is it more corrosion resistant then other steels? Thanx for your input!!!!

Is yours 440-V or ATS-34?

In my exoerience it is harder to sharpen but holds an edge a lot better.
I don't know if it is more corrosion resistant but I have never had a problem with any of my 440-V knives and I live in a humid environment.
If you want a lot of information, and I mean a lot, go to www.bladeforums.com and do a search for Military. Pages and pages of information.

Michael, I believe Dennis returned to this thread to respond to your question in another thread, to help you understand that you too can certainly post replies in threads you initiated. There is no need to begin another thread as you did. Sticking with one thread, saves bandwidth and computing power.
If you haven't noticed it yet, the ability to edit a post and make changes, if you wish/need to, is available at the bottom of the page.
