For my next knife I want something larger and with a liner or compression lock. I want it to be easy to open and clos one handed. It will be used for camping and possibly edc. Right now have a delica.

Easy - Military
Personally I would go with the plain edge, IMHO it is the most versitle.

Just as easily, I'd recommmend the Wegner. Very versatile, very ergonomic, very stoutly built, decent steel -- ATS34. Though primarily advertised as a hunting knife, the Wegner is a much more tactical knife than it might originally appear to be. A bit more sheeple friendly than the Military, IMO, but the Military does have the better steel.

Though I don't own one yet, I'd also recommend the Lum Chinese. I think it is an excellent knife, very good cutter, more tactical than at 1st look, and much more sheeple friendly. IMO, it has the classiest design of any Spyderco. Again, my memory deserts me, but I think it may have the CPM440V steel also. Please don't hold me to htat.

i second The Stare's recomdation i think the wegner is the best larger overall utlity knive i have both 60/40 and a plain edge wegner and a fully serrated military i like the wieght, feel and handle shape of the wegner. the military is a great knife but over all i would have to go with the wegner i just feels better in my hand. i also have a lum chinese folder and it is spydercos most buitifull design, imho, i might be the main reason i got it. i think the stare is close the steel is VG-10 an it sharpens buetifully. but it is a little smaller than the other two knives. best of luck with your choise.

one more vote for the Wegner. What an awesome knife. It is marketed as a hunter, but is really one hell of a utility/tactical. I have carried mine daily as a full time LEO for quite some time. I trust this knife.

Hmm, since the post said close one handed, just curious, how easy is it to do that with a compression lock?, I had my gunting with a compression lock on the back and I had to use both hands to close her.
Mabey theres a specific technique to close it 1 handed that I dont know about.

The plain edged Military or the serrated Military. Take your pick from these, you can't lose either way. A fabulous design that you will like more and more, the longer you use it. Jeff/1911.
