View Full Version : sharping serrades on a gerber multi-tool?

i love the sharpmaker 204. i sharppend evething i own the other day it was real eazy. sal--thanks for the great product and demo tape. one question: i couldn't figure out was the right angle for the serrades on my gerber multi-tool. does anybody know or have this tool and can give me some ideas. thanks

Ft, its your lucky day.
Ill tell you one thing, the best multitools available are the Gerbers, the Leathermans can kiss my (_/_), its too bad that their customer service sux, Ill never ever waste my cash on one of their blades again.
Anyways, to sharpen your blade, I always use the 40 degree angle on the 204, on the plainedge (I have a gerber 800 gator/legend with 50/50) I use all 4 steps carefully just on the plainedge section.
For the serations its step 3 only with the white stones, my blade has always come out razor sharp.
I tryed the 30 deg once, but it dont hold up long enough to be worth any while, use the 40.

thanks MaNcEr i agree the grebers are the best multi tools, and i second the use for leathermans, i used only carry the gator but now i carry the tim wegner.
