I have at present seven spyderco's. I have in the past lost five... lost, stolen, thrown away...... long story. Does anyone else have this type of hardluck story just the price you pay for love I guess.

I've had ok luck. I have lost 1, had 1 stolen, and I've been burned in a trade before. The knife I recieved in the trade was damaged. It's still working out, I think I might be able to get my knives back.

I feel your pain. About 10 years ago, there was a short time span over which I lost 3 Spydies on separate occasions: Endura, Delica, and the newly released Snap-it. Yep, you read that correct...a Snap-it! I'm still not sure how that happened

Since then I have had good luck.

I have only ever lost one Spyder. About a year ago working in a wetland area I was doing a job in a timber-wilderness area and one of my first Spyderhawks came up missing. Everytime I still go back there I still keep looking for it.

As a general rule I watch my Spyders like a Hawk. It is really gut-wrenching to lose a knife of that caliber. YOu got to be diligent about them.

The first one was a partially serrated baby Wayne Goddard. Nice little knife with no clip micarta scales in my opinion and rivaled the jester in small-scale ergonomics. I was carrying it lose my pocket............ the second one was a serrated centofante Jr. c-25 that I lost climbing and out of People's cars loading plants that are nurturing. The third was a meercat drop point fully serrated that I lost unpacking boxes doing Christmas season at the same nurturing. I also had a green lum Chinese folder Plainedge stolen from a car along with a few other things while surfing. No one had stolen was my first spyderco a serrated aluminum cricket that was taken away and thrown away doing a drunken incident at a bar no harm intended the drunk people with knives........... I'm sober for quite awhile now though.

Thankfully, I haven't lost one yet. Although, the clip on my ZDP Caly doesn't feel as snug as it used to........ :spyder:

SE Salt 1 Black FRN. Don't know where I lost it, in office (could have been stolen) or hotel during event. Still getting over it...

I have lost two Delica's and a almost brand new Endura. Oh man, just thinking about it now is bumming me out :( The Delica's I had awhile and had gotten good use out of them, but that new Endura... I don't know where I lost it and searched all over for weeks. It did teach me to be almost fanatically careful with all my good knives. The only cure (somewhat) is to buy one or two more to ease the pain.

I lose 'em occasionally but they usually find their way home. Currently I am missing a Meerkat.
