I just received an email from Customer Service which my anti-virus protection (Norton) picked up as being infected. The name of the infected file is sakC22.doc.bat and Norton was unable to repair it although I had just finished updating my virus definitions. The virus concerned is W32.sircam.

Has anybody else received this email?

Take care,

Clay

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow, in Australia it's tomorrow already.

custvc@spyderco.com.
I too received it.Since thier system is obviously infected they can go to
http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sircam.worm@mm.html
for details on how to fix it.My Nortons doesn't pick it up, even though I have the latest updates.I sent them an email but they probably can't use the system due to an rewrite of the registry.

A virus is a lot easier to get rid of than a cold <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

I have received the same e mail from several different places.
The spelling is so bad I ignored it and deleted it right away.

Just do as I do. Don't open any email attachments you aren't expecting, and don't open any email from an unknown sender.

My usual policy is to have friends notify me using their normal email account that they are changing accounts, then I know that they sent me mail and not someone I don't know.

Works like a charm. I have never had a virus on my computer, and I've used it as an internet connection for a long time.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.
