Cordura Sheaths update?

Is there a SITREP yet on the progress of Spyderco brand sheaths for the clipit series? My poor clip-chewed pants pockets await this development eargerly.



One thought: Instead of making them black, how about dark blue cordura with a gold bug -- same as the Spyderco hats. Khaki cordura would also be preferable to black (for me anyway) -- actually that would be my top choice.

Never ever happend to me, infact Ive never heard of it, what Spydie model is it that you talking about thats chewing up your pockets btw?

I have had my Navigator G-10 rub the material on my slacks pocket so much that it made it threadbare ,and my Endura chew up my jeans pocket. A friend has had the same happen to his jeans pocket.
I think it might be the Volcano Grip, or at least and increase in friction via G-10.

My old (retired) Standard with the integrated metal clip chewed up the pocket of my pants, but only after many months of every day carry and use.

I'd also like to hear if there is anything going on.
Since we can write down your wishes here, then let me tell you I have been thinking about modifiing a cordura-pouch, so that it is open and you can &quot;clip&quot; your spydie to it.
I know this sounds a little like the sheaths Elishewitz makes, but this should be different.
I do not want a clip on the pouch (since I own several clipits), but want to clip my knife to the pouch.
This way the pouch rides secure on the belt(belt-loop) plus the knive rides secure on the pouch plus it is easy accesable.

Since I know the story about the growing number of SKU's I vote for a black-cordura-pouch with a flap and the spyder on it. That would make my day. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
