WOW, there is a big difference! I did not think it would be that much. Could you maybe get a picture of the other side of each of them?

Thanks for the picture Woody.

Very nice Woody, think one may be on the way to me, along with something else. (Mary Beth loves to keep me in suspense by only telling me how hard my bank account got hit, but not what's in the package. And, in case anyone missed the other thread, the latest production of the C83 is marked just like the C105 - gold bug on the left side of the blade, Ed Schempp logo on the right side.

Nice pics... This one is on the top of my wish list.

You're a sweetheart ;)

The choil looks pretty solid on this one. I'm going to have to hold it myself and see, but I'm intrigued.

Paul, any plans for this one? You gonna upgrade the handle material maybe to match it's big brother?

Nice pics Woody, thanks.

I've been thinking of getting the Persian....but I'm confused as to what I am seeing. This thread is obviously in response to some other thread somewhere. Are the knives pictured both Persians? If not which is which?

Thanks from a 58 year old Spyderco Novice (a late in life conversion).

My C105 75mm Persian just arrived from NGK, and, as luck would have it, another new C83 Persian from another source was in the mailbox with it.

This C83, like the one I got the other day, has the "new style" markings...

Nice Deacon.... I like the new marking on the C83..... That makes one more to the list.......

Once again.... A big high five to Mr. Schempp for his design, and Spyderco for making it all happen.........

I'm going to try very hard to pretend like I never saw that C83 with a gold bug.

Guys, they only make the 75mm Persian with a gold bug.

The full sized Persian doesn't have one... doesn't.. gold... ..

.... ... .

Where's my credit card?

Well, Mr. Obsessive Compulsive (that would be me) just purchased 2 Large Persians from NGK. They are beautiful BUT just a little to big and heavy for me to use as EDC's. I think that I'll keep one and donate the other to CSM Carlson who awards them to valiant troops under his command in Iraq.

Where are you finding the new Smaller Persian? I don't see it on NGK's website.
