I just got my Carbon Fiber Military. I think you guys are going to like this peel-ply CF. It feels a little lighter, but there is a lot less flex than G10. Especially in a knife like the Military where the composite scales are the primary structural material.

CF Mil vs Spyker.

Here is a detail contrasting PPCF, Spyderco's custom G10, and gel-coated and polished silver twill G10.

Notice here, how you can see the usual checkerboard CF pattern on the inside of the scales. Though not gel-coated and polished.

Even though I don't like larger blades like the Millie, I'm thinking I made a mistake in not pre-ordering one of these!

:spyder: Glad you like your new knife. It seems quite sturdy, worthy of EDC. :spyder:

I must be honest, I'm a bit disappointed when I see these pics. I was expecting a mate CF but with a much more pronounced pattern, this one looks like G10.. :(

My thoughts exactly. Hopefully it's just the pics and lighting.

Nice Carlos, use it in good health.
Mine arrived today too. Can tell you Senate and Rock, that the pattern looks almost exactly like that of the shiny CF, only with a G10-like stippling superimposed on it. So yes, from some angles, in certain lighting, you will see mostly the the stippling, but the "checkerboard" effect is definitely there and quite noticeable when you see the knife in person. Far as weight goes, scaled both it and my Forum model, both came in at 112 grams.

Of all the people to not order one, I'm really surprised that you, the Champion of the Military, did not order Vincent. :(

Understood. I ordered one and likely won't get it so "$$ there is some" won't always open that door. :(
