Guys,
Got this email from a pal. Please mail this Marine some kind words, he could use them! I think it's the least we can do.....

This morning on the FOX morning news/talk show, there was a story about Col. Ollie North and Col. Hunt (both members of the FOX news staff) visiting wounded US mil service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. They were talking to a recently wounded in Iraq Marine, a Joshua Sparling, who is recovering/re-habbing. On a wall next to the young Marines bed was a single card that said something akin to "die Marine".....

Some anti-war and anti-US military puke had sent this Marine an "I hope you die" get well card. It was the only card that this brave kid had received. True to form, he put it on the wall next to his bed as an inspiration to recover, rehab and get back to is unit and USMC buds.

Both the Colonels and the FOX news people thought this brave kid was an inspiration and certainly deserving better than a one time "go die" card....

So, FOX put out his name and address at Walter Reed so he can get some Get Well Cards. Bet you his Xmas stocking is going to be full and I'll he shares it with the other folks at Walter Reed.

Send it on to everyone you know.

Name: Joshua Sparling

Walter Reed Army Medical Center

6900 Georgia Avenue NW

Washington,

 Jimd, Amazing! I guess it would be easier to let terrorists come over to our Beautiful USA and let them have their way and do whatever they please, instead of supporting our Brave Troops to fight this war. Apparently this person who sent this brave soldier this LOUSY card, doesn't unerstand the meaning of Freedom. Instead of sending out such misery, they should be on their knees PRAYING for our Country and Soldiers, That they will Remain SAFE and come back HOME SAFE. Justice and Liberty they don't have to Fight for it....but it DON'T COME FREE. Its paid for by our Troops with the blood they shed protecting us. Count me in. This young soldier has my support, appreciation, and my prayers. He will be getting good news and prayers from me. Thanks for the info. Consider the info passed on.

God Bless OUR TROOPS :) :) :)

That's horrible. I'll try to post a picture of a get well letter I recieved. One day some very nice ladies came by and handed out care package type thing, with pens and notebooks. They also included a drawing from a little kid. Mine was hilarious. I'll scan it in tomorrow. Brightened my day up and I can't help but smile every time I see it.

Thanks for sharing this with us. It almost leaves me speechless that someone would send a letter like that to a soldier! This man, Joshua Sparling, risked his life for a cause greater than himself, and this is the thanks that he gets? Joshua has my prayers, as does the person who sent that letter, in the hopes that he will change his attitude toward his fellow man. I will send him a get well letter to show my appreciation for his courage.

They have my prayers also.I have allways loved the marines for their bravery and I,like my father, am planning on joining the marines.

Hi Jim, thanks for the infos. I'll send this brave boy something too. I'm not American but I fully understand what those guys are going through. And as pathetic as it may sound, I'd fight for America should I were in the position to, because I appreciate the need for order and civilisation. It's a shame that some of your own citizen don't.
