Hello Paris19. Welcome to the forum! Always great to have a new "body." Even better when that body is from another country, to provide a different perspective.

I always thought that just the 3 holes were Viele's trademark. Then I saw the symbol on the C42. I have all the artistic talent of a 2-day-old baby. I do not have a software, at least not loaded on my PC, for manipulating images.

My two favorite search engines did me no good in terms of finding a website for Viele. So, the best I can do is an enlarged, and slightly fuzzy, picture of the C42. I'll attach it to an e-mail for you.

I'll look for a picture which is larger to begin with, hopefully enhancing the potential of getting a large enough picture for you to use to draw/trace the image.

Hang around here, and at the Spyderco forum at Blade Forums. You can learn a lot about Spydies, and have some fun. Sal moderates both forums.

I've seeen the symbol given a number of different interpretations. Spyderco has said that it represents the Japanese God of War. I have a book containing a similar symbol called a Mitsu Domo which is described as a talisman to protect against fire, flood and theft. A search on the Spyderco Forum at Bladedeforums.com might yield more information.
