Hi Everyone,
Ive been sitting here for an hour meaning to post a message but actually find myself caught up in reading your posts and looking at pics of your beautiful knives. This is a great forum!
I was in wal-mart today looking for a new knife and i noticed the Spyderco Native. I asked to hold one and its much more comfy in my hand than the gerber or buck i had been looking at. Great ergonomics! Then i noticed that the blade steel is s30v. Plus i think its about the sharpest knife ive ever seen right out of the box. It just seemed like alot of knife for only $39.00.
After i got home i was looking at the many different :spyder: knives online and couldnt resist ordering the D'allara Drop Point!
Take care and God Bless.
Racer :)

Looks like Sal's plan to attract new customers, by placing stocks of the Native in
Wal-Mart, in hope that they may search out the many other Spyderco products which are available, paid off. :D
Welcome to the forum KDX_RACER, :) you have now officially been bitten by the "Spyder-Bug", and your downward spiral into "Spydie-addiction" has begun!!!

Welcome to the forum. I'm new here too, and just recently got my first Native, but been using Spyderco for a long time. You happened upon an AWESOME first Spyderco. Is it the combo or plain edge? And did you really only pay $39 for it???
...pretty cool how the knife sold itself. :)
VERY cool, actually. When I heard that the Native was carried by Wal-Mart, I KNEW it would have to do most of the selling on its own...

Hi Jeff,
Yep the sticker price on the native was $38 and some change. I didnt really know the going rate of :spyder: knives. Then i got home and looked on the Spyderco site and they are listed for much more. Ditto on Ebay.
This knife rides in my pocket like it was born and raised there. Im gonna tell all the guys at work about this steal at wallyworld and speaking of work i might have to work another shift or two there just to pay for the :spyder:
bites :)
Oh yeah anybody local to north georgia go get a bargain at the super walmart on hwy 400 in forsyth county just north of the ATL.
BTW this is a very fun, informative, forum.

Hi again,
Sorry i didnt see that the first go around.
It's a plain edge and the D'allara is the same. Id like to have a Delica with serrated edge also.

Welcome to the forum and congradulation on your Spderco purchases. I think you will find that most of the others here were bitten by the same spyder bug.
Welcome KDX_RACER. The D'allara Drop Point is one of my favorite Spyderco's. I love the knife!! I use it everyday. It is a great knife that is worth every penny of it's price. IMHO, it is a steal.
