Well, once again thanks to one of the great guys here, (thanks alot Rock!!) I get to try out another new knife. It is the Para Military. Now I know why it is such a popular model! What an incredible knife. So light and yet so strong. The size is just right. It fits my hand like it was made for it. It is thin enough that you hardly even know it is in your pocket. The black blade lloks very nice. I am really looking forward to seeing how well it will wear. The edge sure shines next to the black blade.
Friends ask me why I don't try another brand other than Spyderco. That is easy. I get outstanding value with every Spyderco I purchase. Why get anything else :D.
Here are a few pictures.

Great knife. I have the Para and have grown to trust and treasure it. Nice balance in the hand. I also love the lock.

You know some of us (maybe all of us) are always wanting something new...either bigger or smaller, different handle material or blade steel, etc. Me, I would like the same knife as the Para with a 2.5 inch blade and comparable shorter handle. But, then who is ever without wants.

The Para is absoultely great and you will surely enjoy using it.

Congrats Ron. This knife sure fits like a glove.

I carry mine quite a lot.

I really like the pivot screw on yours much better.

I only miss the teeth though :D

YES Ron, I fully agree. I have one too since a couple of days, thanks to Jurphaas. It's absolutely brilliant, the lock, the size, ease of handling, that awesome blade, and so on. Room for improvement? Very little I think, or it would be a change to tip up carry. Downside of this would be that the liners had to be longer, which would add weight. Pro would be the possibility to make it ambi carry. But just as it is? One of the very best and most usefull knives you can get. Enjoy, I know I do.

yeah, this is one of my all-time favorites. As close to "the knife" as I've found so far.

Great photos Ron! I like that black blade. Let us know how the coating wears on it. I might just have to get one to go with my satin blade.
