As much as I like :spyder: - I have a few others like a Benchmade AFCK and Ascent. Also a couple of Cold Steel knives (SRK, Voyager XL) and some pocket knives - a Wenger Swiss Army and a Victorinox Farmer. Also I still have my very first pocket knife- From 1976, an Old Timer 3 bladed pocket knife with the Liberty Bell emblem.
Is talking about other knives frowed upon here? Just curious. I know this is an "off topic" area, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a no-no.

I have found Cold Steel products to be sturdy and a good value for the money. And their sticks and sjamboks are nice, too. Maybe this next one isn't the best brand to be citing here because some might call them a Spyderco product and others might not. But the non-Spyderco knives which I like best(for the price and value as well as quality) are the Byrds.
