Ok, got the remaining cash from my plates on friday... bought the coffee pot on sunday(see my thread over in OT), and had to buy this sucker... wanted it back in august, been eyeing it for far longer(as in the first week my local got em).
TC07s police tie clip, ats-34 & stainless(think it's ss at least, 01 dealer cat says nothing about handle). The lock seems weak to me, but with a sliver sized (1 9/16") blade, I don't expect to be cutting down brush with it. But I'm also spoiled by the lock on my lil temp and ss police snapping shut with plenty of force.
Of course the first thing I did when I got home was see how it looks with my tie... covers about 3/4 of the way across where I usually toss a pin on it to secure it.
opening requires 2 hands, as does re-clipping it... but it's dress wear and not a primary carry.
Plenty sharp for it's size and intended use, though could use a touchup(again, I'm just picky and spoiled).
One thing it's missing? the distinctive c07 swedge at the tip. While difficult with the 1.5mm thick blade, I'm sure it's workable(unless it was tried and made the tip break too easily).

Glad you like it VW, they are kind of a neat little novelty.

Nice score, my wife has one and she likes it alot. I am not generally allowed near the little gem, for fear of it 'disappearing' for some reason. I did manage to open it one handed.....once! :D

Very cool, if I ever wore a tie, I'd have to snag one of these, but I can't count on one hand the number of times I've done that in the past year.
Congrats VW :D

zen: should see my plan for cufflinks.. have a couple of the round black/silver bug pins waiting till II get em done... the 3rd one goes on my collar all day.
wouter: if you grab the blade and push the handle open it can be done one handed... unless you have an extra couple joints in your fingers to open with your thumb on the hole. You should buy her the necklace so you can thief the tie clip ;)
scott: I don't wear a tie all too often, probably twice a month when I clean up to head out. Usual practice is to use one of my pins to secure the tie(or clip my cricket down low on the rear peice and keep it secure that way). Wouldn't believe how good I look in all black, or how nice a silver tie clip looks on that(I've thiefed my fathers a few times). Last time I wore a tie was for xmas pics, my sister and I figured it was about time we got pics together again(only been 9yrs since the last ones)... shaved, polished boots, all black with a silver tie clip. Other than looking like count dracula they turned out all right(I do show up on film :p )

Nice buy Pat. My girlfriend has joked with me if I get that tie clip it will prove that I've gone too far with knives. :p
I don't wear ties very often nor am I a collector, so I've never really considered getting one, but it does seem like something I would actually wear if I were forced to wear a tie.

Sounds good VW. I can just see the sheeple though, "Uh, why do you have a tick on your neck?" :p

Nothing for me though.
The last time I wore a tie was with my marriage about 10 years ago :p

Hi Pat, congrats on your new knife (if I may call it "knife") ;) Enjoy it. I think the handles is made out of Titanium (at least the Mini Police Necklace is ATS-34 and Ti). I remember I've seen somewhere a pic with a PE one, but all of them come in SE AFAIK.
I think it doesn't have a swedge at the tip because it's in full flat grind (remember the G-10 Police (full size) that came in full flat grind a few years ago? It was also swedgeless)
